How my journey began
Have you ever felt like you were born to do and be something so special you didn’t have the words to say it so you just became that person?
Well, that’s TOTALLY ME!!! Elizabeth Ann McNeil, middle child in a family of six, with four girls all with the middle name “ANN”. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York with the determination to use education as my way out.
The human body, how it worked from head to toe just fascinated me to the point of obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in Biology from a small college in Pennsylvania. While there I was a Cheerleader, continued Gymnastics as my strength training, and dating the Captain of the Basketball team who later became my husband. Moving my family of two beautiful sons to the state of North Carolina, where I continued my career as a Histologist, transitioning to a Research Scientist, after my sons left for college.
While raising my sons I found myself very connected to the things that young people needed to navigate life. Things like who they were, what they believed in, where they found pleasure, what gave them strength in the hard times, where they turned to when they needed answers. My heart throbbed with joy helping them as well as many young people to gain insight to these obstacles. I was instrumental in creating and leading programs related to these very issues. I realized it was my true calling, what I was born to do. The opportunity to become BOLD certified in 2020 by Master Life coach Susan Hyatt, has changed the trajectory of my life.
Bringing the BOLD curriculum to young people is my special assignment. I see the need clearly and with urgency, for far too many are lost for who it is they are, lost for having a voice, not having clarity, not having proper tools to navigate to a healthy life style mentally spiritually and physically.
YES, this is who I was created to be and do for generations of young people.
